As part of his commitment to building an inclusive and united Alimosho, Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Akinpelu Johnson, has extended a hand of partnership to non-indigenous residents of the local government, assuring them of full inclusion in his proposed administration.
Speaking during a meeting with various non-indigene communities across Alimosho, Hon. Akinpelu said his vision for the local government reflects the spirit of togetherness and equality, where no group is left behind.
“Alimosho is a mini-Nigeria, rich in diversity and culture. Our strength lies in our unity, and I want every non-indigene living here to know that Alimosho belongs to all of us,” he said.
He noted that his campaign, guided by the WISE AGENDA, Welfare, Infrastructure, Security, and Empowerment, is designed to address the needs of all residents, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or background.
“If elected, our administration will promote equity and provide equal opportunities for everyone.
“We are introducing targeted programs such as vocational training, access to microfinance, and inclusive welfare initiatives to support both indigenes and non-indigenes alike,” he stated.
Hon. Akinpelu also emphasized the importance of mutual respect and collaboration among all ethnic groups in Alimosho, pledging to maintain constant engagement with community stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns addressed.
“This campaign is not about politics as usual. It is about building a local government where no one is treated as an outsider. Together with my running mate, Hon. Adebisi, we are offering leadership that listens, includes, and delivers,” he added.
In response, the non-indigene community leaders expressed their appreciation for the outreach and pledged their support for the Akinpelu/Adebisi candidacy, describing the engagement as unprecedented and reassuring.
