Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Alimosho Federal Constituency have unveiled consensus candidates for the 2027 general elections, reaffirming the unity and strength of the party across the constituency.

The decision was reached during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held at African Church Primary School, Akinogun, with the attendance of the six Local Government Chairmen, party leaders, and other critical organs of the APC in Alimosho.

Speaking at the gathering, the APC Lagos West Vice Chairman, Chief Sunday Aboyade, described the development as a major milestone for the party in Alimosho.

According to him, the coming together of the Justice Group and Mandate Group under one umbrella signals a new era of political harmony and coordinated grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

Aboyade stated that under the leadership of Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) member, Princess Victoria Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, alongside Hon. Bisi Yusuf and other stakeholders, the party had resolved to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.

He also announced Hon. Ganiyu Ayuba-Adele as the party’s consensus candidate for the House of Representatives, while Hon. Luqman Orelope and Hon. Kehinde Joseph emerged as consensus candidates for Alimosho Constituency I and II respectively in the Lagos State House of Assembly elections.

The stakeholders equally pledged massive support for Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the APC governorship candidate in Lagos State.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, said the meeting was convened to formally present candidates for elective positions, mobilise support for the APC, and strengthen grassroots campaign structures ahead of the elections.

He stressed the importance of early preparations for the 2027 polls and urged party members to intensify door-to-door mobilisation across the constituency.

Akinpelu further called on members to sustain support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by sensitising residents to the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the administration’s economic reforms.

He expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in future elections, assuring stakeholders that the party remains united and committed to delivering victory across all levels.

Also speaking, Hon. Bisi Yusuf described the meeting as a defining moment in the political history of Alimosho Federal Constituency.

He said the unity demonstrated by leaders and stakeholders across the six local governments showed that the party was more determined and focused ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the endorsement of President Tinubu, Dr. Hamzat, and the consensus candidates reflected the confidence party leaders had in their leadership capacity and commitment to good governance.

Yusuf urged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation, strengthen party structures, and work towards ensuring overwhelming victories for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
