Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has extended warm greetings to workers across the country, commending their resilience and critical role in national development as the nation marks the 2026 Workers’ Day.
In a message released on Friday, May 1, 2026, the First Lady expressed deep appreciation to Nigerian workers for their dedication and commitment, describing them as the driving force behind the country’s growth and progress.
She noted that workers across various sectors, including public service, private enterprises, artisanship, and entrepreneurship, continue to make invaluable contributions that sustain and advance the nation.
The First Lady also acknowledged the efforts of trade unions in advocating for the welfare of workers, while appreciating their cooperation in strengthening the workforce.
Reaffirming the importance of labour to national development, Mrs Tinubu congratulated workers nationwide and urged them to remain steadfast in their contributions.
She wished all Nigerian workers a happy and fulfilling Workers’ Day celebration.
