Excitement is building in Aguda, Surulere, as the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, The Chorister, prepares to host its 2026 Choir Day in a celebration of music, worship, and spiritual reflection.
The event, slated for Saturday, May 2, 2026, will be held on Oladimeji Street and is themed “In His Presence,” reflecting a focus on deep worship and divine encounter.

Church officials say this year’s Choir Day is particularly significant as it heralds activities leading up to the 40th anniversary of the church’s establishment in the Aguda community.
The programme will begin at 2 p.m. and feature a rich lineup of performances, including instrumental ministrations by The Trumpeters, a drama presentation, and special renditions from invited choirs. The Orisun Ayo Choir, serving as host, is expected to deliver a standout performance.
Leading the event as Chief Host is Senior Apostle H.A. Shoremekun, while gospel minister Senior Apostle Jacob Kunle Ajomale is billed to thrill attendees with a selection of his well-known songs.
The gathering is expected to attract a wide audience of worshippers, music enthusiasts, and community members, promising an atmosphere of praise, celebration, and spiritual renewal.
