…Supports Evangelism and Youth Empowerment through Renewed Hope Initiative
In a show of commitment to youth empowerment and faith-based outreach, the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has presented seven brand-new hybrid 14-seater buses to the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
The official handover took place at the State House, Abuja, as part of activities marking the second anniversary of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during the presentation, Senator Tinubu said the gesture was in fulfillment of a promise made to YOWICAN, and a testament to the administration’s commitment to supporting young people who are dedicated to national growth and spiritual development.
“Today is a special day — the second anniversary of this administration — and what better way to celebrate than by giving back? These buses are our way of saying we see your efforts, we value your work, and we are here to support you,” the First Lady said.
She urged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles responsibly, especially in furthering the work of God and supporting evangelism across the country.
“Giving is an act of love. As followers of Christ, we must not only speak love but demonstrate it. We believe you will all go on to become achievers in this country, and we want you to make the most of these resources.”
The National Chairman of YOWICAN, Michael Enwere Belosochukwu, received the keys on behalf of the association and expressed deep appreciation to the First Lady and RHI.
“These vehicles will ease the burden of movement during our evangelical missions and greatly support our organizational goals. We thank our dear mother, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for this meaningful and timely intervention.”
The seven buses will be distributed to the YOWICAN secretariats in each of the six geopolitical zones and the national headquarters to enhance their operations nationwide.
Also present at the event were the Wife of the Vice President and National Vice Chairman of RHI, Hajia Nana Shettima; the Wife of the Imo State Governor and National Secretary of RHI, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma; and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Bishop S.T.V. Adegbite, among other dignitaries.
