Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Executive Chairman, Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku, on Wednesday, swore in Secretary to the Council, Supervisors and Special Advisers with a charge for them to get ready for service.
Those appointees sworn into office were cleared earlier by the Ojodu LCDA Legislative Arm.
Odunmbaku said that his administration was hugely anxious about expanding on economic growth and development in Ojodu. “This is a call to service, hence I oblige you take up responsibility and discharge duties according to guidelines. You have to key into our administration’s vision and policy thrusts,” he said.
He added: “Consider your new position as a call to service; your best are required in the new tasks given to you. You also need to evolve strategies that will boost efficiency and productivity of Ojodu LCDA.”
“Your cooperation with the management, legislative arm and all other political class would be of great benefit to all and sundry. I hope and pray that this new cabinet will usher in great ideas, ideology and values that will complement the H.E.Y.S agenda of this administration which is in tandem with the THEME Agenda of our dear Lagos State.”
The brief ceremony which took place at the Council Secretariat, Powerline, Oke-Ira, was witnessed by the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC), Ojodu LCDA, Gbemi Lolade, APC chieftain, Chief Oludele Sonola, former Director, LAMATA & APC chieftain, Hon. Tayo Orekoya, Hon Michael Akindele, Mr Solomon Soremekun, the Odofin of Agudaland, Chief S. Akerele, the council-manager, Engr. Dele Abayomi, Head Legal Unit, Barr. Afolabi Kalejaiye and Head Information Unit, Mrs Bukola Bankole.
He has sworn in Olaide John Bello as Secretary to the Council.
The Supervisors are Olaniyan Olabode, Wasiu O. Seidu, Tunji Kogbodoku, Seye Oyekan, Dayo Olanrewaju, Wale Abdulsalam, Folake Adams, Badru Jemilat, Wale Larinde.
The Special Advisers are Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Fadeyi, Folayomi Sonola, Tunde Ogunbiyi and Toluwase Dada.
The council chair, however, congratulated the new appointees and charged them to be passionate in the course of their duties. “To all the inaugurated appointees, I congratulate you all on your new assignment. The progress and development of Ojodu LCDA should be your hallmark,” Odunmbaku said.
“I am highly delighted to have you onboard to steer the wheels of moving Ojodu to greater heights, your coming on board will definitely make things easy for all of us.”
