Agege Local Government Area is set to host the FC27 Ultimate Edition PlayStation 5 Tournament on Thursday, October 1, 2026, with a total prize pool of N1.75 million up for grabs.
The one-on-one gaming competition, scheduled to hold at the Agege Local Government Secretariat, is expected to attract gamers, football enthusiasts and young people from across Lagos State.
The tournament will feature EA Sports FC27 on the PlayStation 5 platform, with participants competing for the ultimate prize under the theme, “Fair Play. Good Vibes.”
The winner will pocket N1 million, while the first and second runners-up will receive N500,000 and N250,000, respectively.
A major highlight of the opening ceremony will be an exhibition match between two Lagos council chairmen, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, and Hon. Olusegun Odunmbaku, Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA.
The friendly encounter is expected to add excitement to the tournament as the two council chairmen take to the virtual pitch ahead of the main competition.
Popular Nigerian entertainers Rahmon Jago and Small Doctor have also been confirmed as special guests at the event.
Organisers said the tournament was designed to provide a platform for young people to showcase their gaming skills while promoting sportsmanship, healthy competition and community engagement.
