The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has refuted reports alleging that its State Chairman directed all Supervisors and Secretaries to Local Governments (SLGs) to assemble at the party’s secretariat in Acme following instructions purportedly issued from the Presidential Villa.

The party described the claim as entirely false and misleading, warning that such reports are capable of creating unnecessary anxiety within its ranks and among the public.

In a statement released by the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, the party clarified that no such directive was issued by the State Chairman and that there is no emergency meeting scheduled as being circulated.

Oladejo stressed that the Lagos APC continues to operate as a disciplined and well-structured political organisation that adheres strictly to due process and collective decision-making in its activities.

He noted that the party’s immediate priority is to consolidate its internal structures and strengthen mobilisation efforts as preparations intensify ahead of the forthcoming national elections.

The spokesman urged party members, supporters and the general public to disregard the rumour and refrain from spreading unverified information capable of overheating the political atmosphere.

He added that the party would continue to communicate any official development through its established and recognised channels.
