The Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, Mayor Abiodun Jimoh Isola, on Friday, March 13, 2026, officially inaugurated Prince Buhari Sulaimon as the new Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) and Mr. Jimoh Jelili as Chairman of the Revenue Committee.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the council secretariat in the presence of political leaders, council officials, party stakeholders, and family members of the appointees.
While congratulating the newly appointed officials, the council chairman described their appointments as a call to selfless service to the people of Agbado Oke-Odo.
He urged them to bring their wealth of experience in grassroots administration to bear in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The swearing-in was conducted by the council’s Head of Legal Unit, Barrister Layode Abidemi. Present at the ceremony were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Shobayo Kehinde; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Wasiu Aduragbemi; elected councillors; the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. Yinusa Mukaila; other APC leaders; the Council Manager; management staff; as well as family members and friends of the appointees.
During the ceremony, Prince Sulaimon and Mr. Jelili took the oaths of office, allegiance, and secrecy before signing the official documents, drawing applause from dignitaries and guests at the event.
Speaking after the swearing-in, Prince Sulaimon, on behalf of himself and Mr. Jelili, expressed gratitude to God, the council chairman, and the leadership of the APC at both the state and local government levels for the opportunity to serve.
He assured that they would work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them and contribute meaningfully to the development and growth of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA.
Other dignitaries present included the Chief of Staff, Mr. Rasheed Rabiu; his deputy, Mr. Ademola Oriade; Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Comrade Ernest Kasumu; and other stakeholders.
