The 14th edition of the Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Mega Festival drew to a close last Sunday with a grand finale and award ceremony at the Trend Event Center, Aina Ajayi Estate, Agbelekale, Abule Egba, Lagos.
The week-long cultural celebration, which began on November 16th, showcased talent discovery, cultural expressions, and community unity.
The festival featured performances, competitions, and the recognition of outstanding individuals who have contributed to the growth and development of the LCDA.
Comrade Olabisi Oyebola, the convener of the festival, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success and pledged that the 15th edition would be “bigger and better.”
He said, “This was a festival of creativity, giving back to society, discovering and promoting hidden talents among the youths, and rewarding those who have contributed to the success and development of the LCDA. This is just the starting point. We are focused, and we are getting there.”
The Council Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Jimoh Isola Ejigbadero, who received the Man of the Year Award, commended Oyebola for his creativity and consistency in hosting the annual cultural event.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Abdul-Rasheed Rabiu, Ejigbadero described the festival as a vital platform for promoting social cohesion and empowering residents to showcase their talents.
Beneficiaries of the festival’s empowerment program also expressed their gratitude to the organizers, promising to make judicious use of the opportunities provided.
