The Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omo Oba Adeola Adetoro, has dismissed reports suggesting that the resignation of some Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) appointed by his administration reflects internal division or instability.
The chairman clarified that the affected appointees stepped down in pursuit of personal career aspirations and other professional goals, urging residents not to misconstrue the development as a sign of discord within the administration.
In a statement addressing residents, the administration reaffirmed its commitment to building a united, peaceful and prosperous Eti-Osa where every community, ethnic group, political interest and resident enjoys a sense of belonging.
Adetoro reiterated his commitment to inclusiveness, reconciliation, mutual respect and collective progress, stressing that the local government’s strength lies in its diversity and shared aspirations.
He urged residents and party members to remain focused, strengthen existing bonds and avoid distractions capable of undermining the unity and progress achieved in the council, particularly as the 2027 general elections approach.
The chairman also called for sustained political solidarity across all levels of government, from the Presidency to the Governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly.
He emphasised the need for collective support towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor-elect Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, House of Representatives member Fuad Atanda Lawal and Lagos State House of Assembly member Saheed Adesegun Bankole.
The statement urged residents to embrace peaceful coexistence, support one another and place the overall interest of Eti-Osa above individual differences.
It reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to unity and collective progress, declaring: “Eti-Osa is one! Our diversity is our strength, our unity is our power, and our collective progress is our priority.”
The administration also called on residents to support the political aspiration of the party, urging them to vote for PBAT 4+4 and the other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
