The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her commitment to empowering women across the country.

She also highlighted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s strong dedication to ensuring women’s inclusion in leadership roles.

She made these remarks during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Department of State Services (DSS), led by the Deputy Director-General, Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja, at the State House, Presidential Villa.

Senator Tinubu expressed gratitude for the visit and reiterated that the Tinubu administration prioritizes women’s empowerment and their active participation in decision-making at all levels.

She emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding the contributions of hardworking women across various sectors, noting that women in leadership positions serve as role models for others nationwide.

The First Lady further encouraged women in leadership to support one another, collaborate effectively, and remain dedicated to their responsibilities to drive national progress.

In her remarks, Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja thanked President Tinubu and the First Lady for their unwavering support in advancing women’s causes.

She commended their ongoing efforts to position women in key leadership roles where they can contribute meaningfully to national governance.

The DSS Deputy Director-General also expressed appreciation for the First Lady’s steadfast advocacy for gender equality and her continued support for the DSS.

She reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and ensuring a secure environment for the nation’s development and peaceful governance.
