A former Minister of Defence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and associates of Hon. Adio Sekoni, the esteemed Apex Leader of Oriade LCDA, who recently passed away.
The former Ambassador described the late Hon. Sekoni, who also served as Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, as a dedicated public servant, visionary leader, and committed community advocate whose legacy will inspire future generations.
The APC chieftain further stated that Hon. Sekoni’s life reflected a profound passion for service, a deep sense of responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of Oriade LCDA and Amuwo-Odofin Local Government.
“During his tenure as Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Hon. Sekoni championed initiatives that transformed the lives of countless residents. His leadership was marked by inclusivity, transparency, and a genuine desire to uplift our people. As the Apex Leader of Oriade LCDA, he remained a unifying force, fostering harmony and progress among diverse groups,” Obanikoro stated.
The member representing the area in the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Obanikoro, further remarked: “As we mourn the loss of this great leader, let us honour his memory by upholding the values he stood for: unity, service, and dedication to the common good. Hon. Sekoni’s contributions to the development of Oriade LCDA and Amuwo-Odofin Local Government will remain etched in our hearts,” he concluded.
