A two-time Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro has mourned the passing of renowned Islamic Cleric and Social Change Advocate, Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello.
The former Ambassador who joined millions of Nigerians in mourning the passing of the distinguished cleric, revered scholar, and tireless agent of social change, Alhaji Bello, expressed this in a statement released in Lagos.
The APC chieftain described Alhaji Muyideen Bello as a towering figure whose teachings, sermons, and unwavering commitment to justice and equity inspired countless individuals across the nation. A man of profound wisdom, he was not only a beacon of Islamic Knowledge but also a passionate advocate for unity, moral uprightness, and societal progress.
“Throughout his life, Alhaji Bello demonstrated an exceptional ability to bridge divides and foster harmony among diverse groups. His messages of peace, tolerance, and selflessness resonated deeply, serving as a guiding light in a world often fraught with challenges. His role in championing social reforms and uplifting communities remains a testament to his enduring legacy, Obanikoro concluded.
He described Alhaji Bello’s death as a monumental loss to the Muslim Ummah, Nigeria, and humanity at large as he was a leader whose life epitomized devotion, integrity, and service to others.
Obanikoro asked Almighty Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and give his family, followers, and all of us, the fortitude to bear this great loss.
