The First Lady reassured of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s determination to rid Nigerians of poverty by creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

“By supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), we empower local entrepreneurs to generate employment thereby offering a lifeline to those struggling to make ends meet. This not only reduces unemployment rates but also enhances the overall well-being of individuals and families”.

“Traditional loans often come with high interest rates and stringent requirement for collateral, making it challenging for those with limited assets to secure funds. By eliminating these barriers, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) programs create a more accessible and supportive environment for individuals to start and expand their businesses”.

She commended the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation for its commitment to ensuring that it fulfils the mission and vision of the present administration to bring as many Nigerians as possible out of the poverty line.

Earlier, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty alleviation, Dr Betta Edu said her Ministry is set to get as many as 50 million Nigerians out of poverty within one year as demanded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The First Lady then presented the first batch of beneficiaries who are petty traders with cheques of Fifty thousand naira each.

Also at the flag-off were sales of products, farm produce and clothing items many which were patronized by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
