His Royal highness, Alh. (Dr) Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II, the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos and Chairman Council of Fulani chiefs South West has secured a reprieve for traders at the Alaba Rago market, Ojo Lagos.
This came on the heels of an earlier quit notice served on them by the Lagos State government to vacate the area within 14 days in order to pave way for developers to move in and commence work.
The monarch recently met Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the ultimatum given to the traders to vacate the vicinity.
He waded into the agitating issue and pleaded with the governor on behalf of the Alaba Rago traders.
Considering his plea, Governor Sanwo-Olu reversed the state’s earlier pronouncement and allow the traders to continue with their legitimate business in the market pending a formal agreement and developmental plan.
Against this backdrop, the monarch called on traders and business entrepreneurs in Alaba Rago to remain calm and maintain a law-abiding environment free from delinquent activities.
