No fewer than 100 artisans have benefited from an empowerment programme facilitated by the lawmaker representing Alimosho Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Olufemi Adebanjo.

The two days entrepreneurship programme held in collaboration with Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority Skills Acquisition, took place at Eco Event Center, Egbeda in Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos.

Items distributed to beneficiaries at the event includes shoe making equipments, soap making machines, grinding machines as well as start up grant to aid their small-scale businesses.

Adebanjo was represented at the event by the Alimosho All Progressives Congress  party chairman, Hon. Tosin Fatoki.

According to the lawmaker, the empowerment was part of his constituency project, adding that each beneficiary was selected randomly across Alimosho Federal Constituency.

The lawmaker explained that he had chosen empowerment after due consultation with his constituents, adding that he was sure that it would have direct impact on them.

He implored them to use the resources judiciously for the purpose it was meant for, assuring that apart from the ongoing ones, other physical projects would be executed soon.

One of the beneficiaries, Akinyemi Ololade, expressed delight at the gesture describing it as an outstanding and impactful project.

Kudirat Onilude said the equipment and start up grant will help him begin a profitable business.

Mufutau Animashaun said that there couldn’t have been a better way to alleviate people’s suffering at the grassroots than such empowerment programme.
