A shocking brawl between two schoolteachers inside the staffroom of Ibru College, Agbarha-Otor, Delta State, has surfaced online, sending social media into a frenzy and sparking widespread outrage.
The viral video, which emerged on Facebook courtesy of social media user Nkeiru Udoh Ogosi, captures the dramatic moment when the two male teachers threw punches at each other while their stunned colleagues struggled to break up the fight.
“Two teachers fighting at Ibru College, Agbarha-Otor in Delta State. What a shameful act! I wonder what they are imparting to the children,” Ogosi lamented in her post.
The footage, now making waves across social platforms, shows the teachers grappling and exchanging blows, as shouts and commotion fill the background.
Some students, drawn by the chaos, peeked through the windows, their expressions a mix of disbelief and amusement. Despite desperate attempts by other staff members to separate the feuding educators, the fight raged on, turning the staffroom into an impromptu wrestling ring.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, though the reason behind the violent confrontation remains unclear.
As the video spreads, public condemnation has followed swiftly. Many have described the altercation as disgraceful and unprofessional, questioning the conduct of educators who are supposed to be role models for students.
“This is beyond embarrassing! Teachers are meant to instill discipline, yet they are the ones behaving like street fighters,” one social media user fumed.
“What message does this send to the students? If teachers resolve conflicts with their fists, what should we expect from the children?” another concerned parent asked.
Despite the uproar, Ibru College’s management and the Delta State Ministry of Education have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
