Kwara State APC Chieftain and former Chairman of the National Broadcasting Commission, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, has praised President Bola Tinubu for introducing the Tax Reform Bills designed to overhaul the country’s tax administration system.
He called on critics of the bills to leverage the platform provided by the President to engage the Minister of Justice, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi, for productive discussions and amicable resolutions.
Bolarinwa highlighted that the proposed reforms would ensure equitable wealth distribution, inspire state governors to adopt innovative developmental strategies, and promote regional growth.
He appealed to members of the National Assembly to set aside personal or partisan interests and focus on the smooth passage of the bills for the nation’s benefit.
The former Kwara APC Chairman emphasized that the reforms would provide relief for low-income earners, curb multiple taxation, and create a more favorable environment for businesses offering goods and services.
