As part of its empowerment programme for the Muslim Alumni and graduating students of the institution, the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni Association (UMA) will on Sunday 8 October, 2017 hold its 28th Annual Congress and Networking session. The venue is the Islamic Center Hall in the UNILAG Mosque, Akoka, Lagos beginning from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
The theme of the congress, as signed by the UMA is; “Small Scale Business Opportunities and Financing Options”, which will be discussed by Dr. Jubril Salaudeen, an expert in finance and business management and Chief Operating Officer, Citiserve Limited.
There will also be a health talk on “Cancer Prevention Awareness” to be delivered by Dr. Habeeb Mohammed.
President of UMA, Alhaji Akeeb Sola Oladokun will preside over the congress at which the executives will render account of their stewardship in the past one year to the generality of the members.
The annual congress is among several capacity enhancing initiatives held yearly by the UMA. Some of the others include a Scholarship Award Scheme and Capacity Training Programme for graduating Unilag students
