Not less than 250 residents have benefited from the first phase of the Yusuf Olaseni Oladipipo Foundation’s Financial Empowerment programme.

The programme which was held at the Yusuf Olaseni Oladipipo Foundation’s secretariat, Shasha Road, opposite Shasha Town Hall, Jayeoba Alimosho, had in attendance beneficiaries drawn from the local government and the five LCDA’s in the federal constituency.

Each of the 250 residents that graced the flag-off of the empowerment programme went home with ten thousand naira cash gifts.

The financial aid according to PiPO as he’s fondly called by admirers, is aimed at empowering the traders and their businesses to grow as well as explore bigger enterprise opportunities, which will ultimately improve their wellbeing.

He added that the empowerment was part of his foundation’s project of giving back to the society.

He explained that he chosen cash empowerment because he was sure it would have direct impact on the beneficiaries and their businesses.

He implored the beneficiaries to use the cash judiciously for the purpose it was meant for.

He assured that apart from the ongoing, other physical projects that will be of benefit to the constituency would be executed soon.

The beneficiaries expressed delight at the financial gesture, describing it as an outstanding and impactful, adding that there couldn’t have been a better way to alleviate suffering at the grassroots than through such an empowerment programme.
