Hon. Ramotalai Olanrewaju Akinlola-Hassan has formally declared her intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency, following a strategic meeting with apex leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area.
The declaration was made during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the APC Secretariat, 3rd Avenue, B Close, Festac Town, Lagos State. The gathering brought together key party leaders and stakeholders in what observers described as a crucial step towards consultation, alignment, and consolidation of party unity ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Addressing the leaders, Akinlola-Hassan reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation, inclusive governance, and sustainable development across the constituency. She noted that her decision to join the race was driven by a passion for service and a desire to deliver measurable democratic dividends to the people.
She also acknowledged the influence of party leaders in shaping the APC’s success in Amuwo-Odofin, urging continued collaboration, guidance, and support as she pursues her aspiration.
Several party chieftains at the meeting expressed confidence in her candidacy, citing her leadership experience and grassroots appeal as key strengths.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders, Otunba Banjo Ayeni described Akinlola-Hassan as a widely accepted and unifying figure within the constituency.
“Hon. Ramotalai is well known and respected. She has the capacity not only to win but to deliver meaningful representation to our people,” he said.
In a similar vein, Alhaja Thomas commended the aspirant’s track record of accessibility and dedication to grassroots development, expressing optimism about her ability to represent the constituency effectively at the federal level.
