High Chief (Alhaji) Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi (JP), the Renewed Hope Ambassador Coordinator for Agege Federal Constituency, has felicitated Muslim faithful in Lagos State, Nigeria, and across the world on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.
In a statement issued to mark the festival, Egunjobi described Eid-el-Fitri as a season of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the core values of faith, sacrifice, discipline, and compassion cultivated during the holy month.
He noted that the spiritual exercises observed throughout Ramadan, including devotion, charity, self-restraint, and prayers, remain essential tools for personal growth and societal harmony. He urged Muslims to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting period.
Egunjobi emphasised the need for continued promotion of patience, generosity, unity, and peaceful coexistence, stressing that such values are critical to building a more cohesive and progressive society.
He also drew attention to the ongoing reforms under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda is laying a solid foundation for a more resilient, inclusive, and economically viable Nigeria.
According to him, the policies and programmes of the present administration are designed to address long-standing structural challenges, stimulate economic growth, empower citizens, and restore confidence in governance.
Drawing a parallel between the lessons of Ramadan and national development, Egunjobi called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and supportive of reforms aimed at securing a brighter future.
“The lessons of Ramadan—sacrifice, discipline, and faith—align with the spirit of national renewal. As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, we must sustain our belief in the ongoing process of rebuilding our country and support initiatives that will deliver shared prosperity,” he said.
He further urged residents of Agege Federal Constituency and Nigerians at large to use the festive period to promote love, unity, and tolerance across religious and ethnic divides, noting that peace and harmony are indispensable to national development.
Egunjobi also prayed for peace, stability, and sustained progress in the country, expressing optimism that with collective effort and shared responsibility, Nigeria will achieve lasting growth and national cohesion.
He wished all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, urging them to remain ambassadors of peace and goodwill in their communities.
