The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Princess Adeola Adetoro, has assured residents of a swift response to infrastructural needs and genuine demands aimed at accelerating socio-economic development in the area.

She made the promise during the distribution of ₦200,000 cash empowerment tagged “Renewed Hope Initiative Market/Business Support” to over 200 residents as part of activities marking her first 100 days in office.
The event took place at the Council Secretariat, Igbo Efon, along Lekki-Epe Expressway.

The Chairman, supported by the Vice Chairman, Adeola Idowu Badru; immediate past Chairman, Saheed Bankole; Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Naheem Adams; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Jide Akinloye; traditional rulers; religious leaders; and other top council officials, said the initiative fulfilled her campaign promises to boost the local economy and promote self-reliance among residents.
She noted that the milestone event reflected her administration’s commitment to a brighter Eti-Osa, environmental cleanliness, youth empowerment, and the overall welfare of the people.
Recognising that a healthy population drives productivity, the Chairman added that the council had also organised a free medical outreach to address common health challenges affecting residents.

Princess Adeola Adetoro further highlighted her administration’s development blueprint—HEYIGA Eti-Osa Agenda—which she said captures her vision and long-term plan to improve the wellbeing of the people.
The council boss also appealed to residents to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
In his remarks, the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Naheem Adams, commended the ongoing desilting of drainage channels and canals by the new administration, saying it would help reduce flooding in the area.
He also described the smooth transition from the immediate past administration to the current one as a key factor sustaining peace and stability in the community.
Speaking with newsmen, the former Chairman, Saheed Bankole, expressed delight at the evident continuity in governance, commending Princess Adetoro’s achievements within just 100 days in office.
Also, the Olisa of Ikate Land, Chief Moruf Elegushi, urged the Chairman to prioritise women’s welfare, describing her impressive performance as reminiscent of the leadership qualities of her late father, who once held the same position.
Some beneficiaries of the empowerment programme—comprising market men and women, artisans, persons with disabilities, youths, and the elderly—expressed gratitude for the financial support, pledging to use the funds judiciously to create more job opportunities in the area.
