As part of his ongoing grassroots mobilization ahead of the July 12 local government elections, Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Alimosho Local Government, visited Ward C alongside his running mate, Hon. Francis Adebisi, and other party leaders.
The campaign trail was joined by the Alimosho APC Chairman, Hon. Tosin Fatoki, who led the team to engage directly with residents and stakeholders in the ward.
The visit was aimed at strengthening support for the APC and sharing the team’s development-focused vision for the local government.
The residents of Ward C warmly received Akinpelu and his entourage, listening attentively as he outlined his comprehensive blueprint for progress, known as the WUSE Agenda Initiative.
The initiative focuses on key areas such as infrastructure renewal, accessible healthcare, improved education, and economic empowerment for women and youth.
“We are committed to making Alimosho a model local government,” Akinpelu declared. “Our vision is to transform this local government into a hub of excellence, with modern infrastructure, quality education, and reliable healthcare services.”
Hon. Francis Adebisi, the vice-chairmanship candidate, also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of people-centered governance.
He assured residents that their administration would prioritize grassroots needs, particularly youth and women empowerment.
The WISE Agenda Initiative promises a range of development programs, including a youth empowerment scheme, women-focused economic programs, community-based healthcare delivery, and infrastructural upgrades such as the construction of motorable roads, provision of piped water, and enhanced security across Alimosho.
In his remarks, Hon. Tosin Fatoki, the Alimosho APC Chairman, expressed confidence in the Akinpelu-Adebisi ticket. “We have a winning team. With Akinpelu and Francis as our candidates, we are confident of victory not only in Ward C but across the entire local government,” he stated.
Residents of Ward C pledged their full support for the APC candidates, promising to mobilize votes en masse in the upcoming election.
The visit ended on a high note, with Akinpelu and his team departing with a renewed sense of optimism and momentum. As their campaign for transformation and progress continues, the APC candidates are confident in their mission to usher in a new era of development in Alimosho.
