…Blames Alcohol and ‘Truth or Dare’ Game!
In a stunning turnaround, popular Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, widely known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a “short” sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, aka Ijoba Lande.
Baba Tee made the shocking confession during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, contradicting his earlier claim that he never slept with Lande’s wife.
Previously, Baba Tee had vehemently denied the allegations, challenging Lande to provide evidence or face legal action for defamation. His initial stance came after Lande publicly claimed that his wife had been involved with at least 21 men in the entertainment industry, with Baba Tee being one of them.
In response, Baba Tee insisted he had only met Dara once, last year, through actress Marygold. He claimed that Marygold had introduced Dara as a content creator and an upcoming artiste, and he only later discovered her real identity as Lande’s wife.
However, in a dramatic twist, Baba Tee has now confessed that he did, in fact, sleep with Dara—but under unusual circumstances.
Explaining his side of the story, Baba Tee claimed that on the night in question, Marygold and Dara visited his home unexpectedly. According to him, Marygold had invited him to be an MC at an event but never mentioned bringing anyone along.
During their visit, a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ spiraled out of control. Baba Tee alleged that Marygold stripped completely naked and persistently dared Dara to sleep with him. He also claimed that alcohol was involved, influencing their decisions.
“Marygold and Dara came to my house. She (Marygold) said she wanted me to MC an upcoming program but didn’t tell me she was bringing anyone. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not Lande’s wife. They started asking if I had a Qatar connection before we started playing ‘Truth or Dare.’
“As soon as we began, Marygold went fully naked and kept daring Dara while taking alcohol. Rather than asking me ‘Truth’ questions, they kept pushing ‘Dare’ on me.
“At one point, Marygold dared Dara to let me have a ‘quick’ sexual encounter with her, and Dara agreed. I didn’t know she was Lande’s wife at the time. That’s why I initially denied it. But I won’t lie—I did sleep with her, though it was brief. This is the first time I am admitting it. I now realize it was a setup to tarnish my image.”
After his confession, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande, as his previous denial had worsened the situation. She pointed out that his actions were a betrayal, especially after threatening Lande with a lawsuit.
Shortly after the interview, Baba Tee took to Facebook to issue an apology. He wrote:
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
