The Achievers Youth Forum, a community-driven organization dedicated to sustainable development and social impact, is set to commission a newly constructed borehole in the Iju community on December 26, 2024.

This milestone is another testament to the forum’s commitment to improving lives and fostering positive change.

The organization, known for its innovative approach to community development, has consistently engaged in impactful outreach programs.

These include support for the elderly, widows, and the needy; leadership development workshops for youth; and sustainable service projects.

The borehole project is the latest in a series of initiatives aimed at addressing critical needs in the community.

Previously, the forum gained recognition for installing streetlights in the area, a project made possible through financial support from Hon. Adewale Temitope, the member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Other achievements include settling hospital bills for indigent residents and distributing food supplies to the aged.

Speaking about the forum’s objectives, the President of the Achievers Youth Forum, Amusat Aminu Olanrewaju, reiterated the group’s mission and vision.

He said, “Our mission is to empower youth to transform communities, spreading hope and joy, and creating a brighter future for all, especially the elderly and those in need. This borehole project is a reflection of that commitment and a step towards ensuring that our community thrives.”

Commitment to Core Values

Achievers Youth Forum prides itself on its core values: inspiring and nurturing future leaders, showing care for the less privileged, upholding honesty and transparency, and building strong relationships with the communities it serves. Their mission is to empower youths to become compassionate leaders through impactful projects while addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.

The forum’s strong community engagement, diverse membership, and exceptional leadership have positioned it as a trailblazer among similar organizations.

Expected Dignitaries

The commissioning ceremony will attract prominent figures, including:

Hon. Adewale Adedeji Temitope, Member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01

Engr. Adekunle Olayinka, Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure

Kabiyesi Oba Ogundimu, CDA Chairman

Alhaji Mukaila Jaiyeola, CDC Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government

Hon. Olatunde Yekeen, aka Afinni

Chief Fagbayi, Baale Orile of Iju Land

The DPO of Iju-Ishaga Division (Red House)

Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo, popularly known as Baba Authority.

These dignitaries, along with community members, will witness the unveiling of the borehole, a project expected to significantly enhance access to clean water in the area.

The Achievers Youth Forum continues to set the bar for impactful community service, inspiring a shared vision of progress and empowerment across Ifako-Ijaiye and beyond.
