The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has once again assured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is committed to improving the lives of everyday citizens.
She emphasized that the various reforms and programs introduced are designed to have long-lasting effects, moving beyond short-term, “flash in the pan” solutions.
Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, the First Lady explained that the Food Outreach Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), under its Social Investment program, is a monthly intervention targeting vulnerable groups in society to complement the efforts of the government.
While distributing the food items to various vulnerable groups at the Government House in Ado Ekiti, the First Lady reiterated that RHI, in line with the objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, is dedicated to meeting the needs of the people.
She encouraged the beneficiaries to use the items for household needs rather than diverting them to the market.
Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, wife of the Ekiti State Governor, expressed appreciation for Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s support, particularly in areas like agriculture, where farmers have received farming implements, as well as in women’s empowerment and scholarships.
She also encouraged the beneficiaries to embrace agriculture at home to help provide food for their families and neighbors.
The RHI Food Outreach Program, launched in the FCT Abuja in December 2023, has already impacted several states, benefiting people with disabilities, women, and youth.
Supported by a well-meaning industrialist, the program provides assorted food items to those in need.
