The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is seeking collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), an initiative of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
According to its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, a strategic partnership is being developed between the Renewed Hope Initiative and the NDDC to expand the scope of empowerment and development in the Niger Delta region.
Dr. Ogbuku disclosed this after meeting with Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON. He expressed the commission’s eagerness to pursue the partnership, citing the many laudable projects undertaken by the RHI to impact women and youths across the country.
“We at the NDDC have observed the commendable projects of the Renewed Hope Initiative, and we recognized the need to align with its programs and engagements. We met with Her Excellency and agreed to establish a partnership.
“This collaboration will span various areas, including medical and educational sectors. In our next medical outreach, there will be a partnership between the RHI and the NDDC.”
He also highlighted that the Youth Internship Scheme, which focuses on job creation, women empowerment, and the distribution of educational tools, will be strengthened through this partnership with RHI.
“Our team and the RHI team will be meeting soon to further expand these areas of collaboration.”
Dr. Ogbuku emphasized that this strategic partnership will provide increased opportunities for women and youths in the Niger Delta, enhancing development and empowerment across the region.
