The embattled factional chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, has kept his word on returning to the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on Friday, where he was booed on Wednesday.
He, however, sat at the back of the courtroom, not in the area reserved for Labour Party officials.
A member, state executive committee, Akin Adewale, said on Twitter, “The authentic Chairman of the Labour Party, Comrade Lamidi Apapa is in court. Forget the fake news shared by the Abure faction.
“This time around, he is with security aides to deal with silly and uncouth OBIdients. Since you guys wanna be unruly. And most importantly, he is in a fitted cloth and no cap. Let the proceedings begin.”
Apapa was taken into protective custody on Wednesday after he was mobbed by the opposing party faction in court.
