Zaidu Sanusi will miss FC Porto’s away clash at Vitoria Guimaraes on Saturday (today) despite returning to training, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Nigerian left back was left out of the matchday squad for the clash by Sergio Conceicao amid recovering from a muscle tear injury in his adductor left thigh he suffered while in action for the Dragons in their Champions League match with Atlético Madrid which they won 2-1.
The 25-year-old trained seperately from the rest of the team as they prepared for the encounter at the Olival. Francisco Meixedo and Evanilson also trained away from the rest of the squad.
“Zaidu is not fully there yet just as Meixedo and Evanilson,”Conceicao told abola.pt.
Sanusi has made 16 appearances making an assist so far this season before his sustaining the muscle injury 11 weeks ago.
