At-Tanzeel Schools has successfully staged its inaugural Inter-House Sports Competition, with Green House emerging as the overall winner after an impressive showing across multiple events.
The competition, held at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex in Lagos, witnessed spirited participation from students, parents, and supporters. Green House topped the medal table with a total of 52 medals, winning 23 gold, 13 silver, and 16 bronze.

Yellow House followed closely in second place with 45 medals, comprising 23 gold, eight silver, and 14 bronze. Purple House secured third position with 11 gold, 25 silver, and 16 bronze medals, while Orange House finished fourth, recording nine gold, 19 silver, and 18 bronze medals.
Addressing guests at the event, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of At-Tanzeel Schools, Saheed Bashir, described the competition as a landmark achievement in the school’s history.
He said the initiative reflects the school’s commitment to developing well-rounded learners who are confident, disciplined, and prepared to compete globally.

He noted that while At-Tanzeel Schools is deeply grounded in Islamic values, physical education and sports play a critical role in shaping balanced individuals. Bashir also expressed appreciation to parents and corporate partners whose sponsorship and support contributed to the success of the event.
The Head of School, Hakeem Bolaji Isioye, said the inter-house sports provided a platform for identifying and nurturing young sporting talents, adding that Islam promotes physical fitness as part of holistic personal development.
Also speaking, the Sports Coordinator, Ademola Quam Elebute, said the competition went beyond medals, highlighting teamwork, discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship among the students.

The event featured a wide range of activities, including track and field events such as the 100m, 200m, and 400m races, the 4×400m relay, and long jump, as well as indoor and field events like lawn tennis, free throw, discus, and high jump.
Green House was named in honour of Alhaji Mukadam Abdul-Rauf Lawal, while Yellow House represented First Adequate House. Purple House bore the AKModel Group name, and Orange House was named after Infonomics.
Parents, guardians, and well-wishers turned out in large numbers, adding colour and excitement as they cheered the competing houses throughout the event.
