Few hours to the conduct of the gubernatorial election in Ekiti state,a call has gone to political parties and politicians in the state to eschew violence and accept the result of the polls in good faith.
This advise was given on Friday in Ado Ekiti, the state Capital by the Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) in a press release signed by its Executive Director,Comrade Gbenga Soloki, stressing that though the process has been transparent so far, having monitored the distribution of materials and the overall activities of the umpire.
The group stated that politicians in the state and their supporters should allow the true will of the people to prevail and desist from destructive act that can hamper the peace of the people in the state.
The CAIDOV equally appealed to INEC ,Police, other security agents and adhoc staff to carry out their assigned roles without fear or favour, warning that observer groups both international and local are monitoring the election.
Finally, the group however appealed to people of the state to troop out and perform their civic responsibility,as such is the only way they can enthrone a governor of their choice.
