An activist and pro-democracy advocate, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has disclosed that a campaign group for the second term of the Lagos Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is slated for launch in the first quarter of this year 2022.
Olokoba, the National President of Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), who gave the name of the organization tentatively as Sanwo-Olu For Governor Again (SAGOFA), told newsmen in Lagos weekend that, the organization is being put together by the Nigeria Peace Movement (NPM), because of the peaceful nature of the governor.
According to him, SAFOGA believes there is no wisdom in changing a winning team at the middle of a tournament saying, Sanwo-Olu and his team are a winning combination of a team that should be allowed to serve its full course of two terms in office as constitutionally accepted maximum tenure.
According to him, nobody in Lagos State and beyond is in any doubt that Sanwo-Olu is a God sent Messiah to the good people of Lagos State congratulating them on their right choice in 2019 just as he thanked God for directing the thoughts of the people to the right path during the voting.
“Walking the talk by fulfilling all his electioneering promises is one aspect that has endeared him to the generality of the people in the state and beyond irrespective of their religious leaning, political affiliation and cultural background. His infrastructure development across the state indiscriminately, which has rubbed off on all sectors of the economy is another heart-warming plus for him.
“Against this background, we, along with other like-minds have come together to form a campaign organization as part of our civic responsibilities to humanity for the second term in office for our amiable Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu (BOS).”
The launch of the organization according to Olokoba, is slated for the first quarter of this year precisely between the last week of March and first week of April, saying every interested individual and groups are invited to be part of the programme, saying registration is currently on-going.
