A pro-democracy organization, Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), has expressed excitement over the surprise package Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu extended to residents across the state.
Co-covener of the group, Titi Akosa in a chat with our reporter said the way the governor put smiles on the faces of a lot of families in the state on Christmas day was heart-warming and therefore commendable.
According to her, this singular act of kindness during festivity by Sanwo-Olu has confirmed further his being sensitive and responsive to the yearnings of his people, asserting that, those rooting for his second term in office have reason for their support.
The woman activist, who was reacting to the report on the Arise Television monitored in Lagos pointed out that the way beneficiaries were seen laughing and shedding tears of joy on the screen was a sign that the governor has won their hearts and has bought them naturally to his side.
It was against this backdrop that Akosa observed that the people of Lagos State are the solid support base for Sanwo-Olu and thus making 2023 election would simply becomeΒ a mere formality for him to retain his seat beyond 2023.
The CDG co-covener, therefore expressed her group’s excitement over Sanwo-Olu’s good gesture to the people, urging the generality of the Lagos people to double their support for the governor in all his efforts in making life comfortable for them.
She made it abundantly clear that her organization would not leave any stone unturned to make sure that Sanwo-Olu’s efforts at making life meaningful for the people are appreciated.
