An all youth organization, the Youth Advocacy Initiative (YAI), has expressed excitement over the plan to organise a soccer tournament in honour of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu tagged ‘BOS Youth CUP, ’ saying, “It is another way of showing appreciations to the good work of the governor to the good people of the state.”
Convener of the group, Comrade Adekunle Akinde in a statement Friday commended the organisers of the event that has reached the screening of the players for their initiatives that would encourage the governor to do more and at the same time engage the youth gainfully and thereby reduce the crime rate and youth restiveness drastically in the state.
The statement was in reaction to the news report that the organisers of the tournament, who are said to be the Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu under the BOS Academy, have commenced screening across Lagos’s 57 Local Governments/Local Council Development Areas.

While welcoming the football tournament for the youth, the group reasoned that, apart from the fact that it would get the youth busy partaking in a gainful exercise and thus get their mind occupied with joy and happiness, it would also serve as catch them young technic from the grassroots for national and global sports fiestas for the glory of the state in particular and the nation in general.
The statement therefore urged the organizers to do a thorough job in the build up to the tournament by avoiding all acts that could reduce their efforts at bringing the youth together to a ridiculous level, praising their efforts so far and giving them pat on the back for their acts of patriotism.
