An activist and leader of the Black Youth Vanguard, Comrade James Adeyemi has given Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu a pat on the back over his achievement in just 12 months in office, stating that, his performance has been eventful and heart-warming.
Adeyemi in a press conference at the weekend in Lagos to commemorate the governor’s first year in office said, what Sanwo-Olu and his team achieved in one year without unnecessary noise surpassed what some his counterparts somewhere are hitting the roof about.
The impressed activist told the august audience that, Sanwo-Olu, even before the advent of COVID-19 had appreciated the importance of water in the life of man for survival and hygienic living when he resuscitated Adiyan waterworks phase 2, which has a production capacity of 70 million gallons of water per day.
This can be mentioned as part of his modest success against coronavirus when it reared its ugly head thereby throwing Sanwo-Olu up as an administrator with foresight, Adeyemi pointed out, adding
Revival and Inspection of the 70Million-Gallon Adiyan Phase I1 & Iju Water Works On in October 2019 has endeared the governor solidly in the mind of the good people of Lagos who are always appreciative of good job when they see one.
Adeyemi also mentioned Declaration of State f Emergency on Road Construction and Rehabilitation Across the State At Lagos House, Marina on a Sunday, October 2019, has shown that Sanwo-Olu meant business reminding the importance of smooth transportation system in the economy of any state.
Several other steps taken by the governor from inception, which some people might have considered trivial summed up to give him an eventful first year with accolades from various quarters.
Adeyemi mentioned Honours accorded the Overall Best Teacher and Best Administrator in Nigeria At Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja –last October, as well as announcement that Lagos Readiness To Pay Above N30,000 Minimum Wage which boosted the morale and confidence of the workforce and others across various sector of the economy.
Other landmark achievement of the governor, Adeyemi buttressed included, approval of Jetty At Unilag Waterfront, witnessing the Signing of Agreement for Funding of The Lekki Deep Seaport Project Completion to the tune of $629Million At Eko Hotel And Suites, launching of E-Platform to stop Fraudulent Practices in Real Estate Business, as well as

Others according to Adeyemi are, inauguration of Lagos State HIV Consortium Group and formal dissemination of the State’s Local Government Disaggregated Nigeria HIV/AIDS Indicator at Radisson Blue Anchorage Hotel, V.I. last November.
