Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight title defence against Kubrat Pulev could be cancelled due to coronavirus.
The WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF champion is due to fight the Bulgarian at the Tottenham Stadium on June 20.
“We know we are in the s***!’ sports promoter Barry Hearn admitted.
“We’ve got a massive fight on June 20, Anthony Joshua facing Pulev, but we don’t know whether that will happen now.
“You don’t want to cancel big events and where possible we will play them, but this is the equivalent of a world war.”
The cancellation of the bout would plunge a potential heavyweight unification British super-fight between Joshua and WBC champion Tyson Fury before the end of the year into doubt.
