Among the notable figures present were Tola Kasali and Bode Oyedele, who publicly raised the lawmaker’s hands in a symbolic show of endorsement. Their gesture drew loud cheers from party members, underscoring broad acceptance of his candidacy.

Speaking on behalf of the party leadership, stakeholders highlighted Balogun’s record in office, pointing to various developmental initiatives and infrastructural projects executed during his tenure. They stressed that his re-election would ensure continuity, accelerated growth, and improved delivery of democratic dividends to the people of the constituency.

In an interview shortly after the event, Balogun expressed appreciation to constituents and party leaders for the confidence reposed in him. He reflected on key milestones achieved during his time in office and reiterated his commitment to implementing more impactful, people-focused programmes.

He also called on voters to turn out in large numbers to support all APC candidates, including Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of a decisive electoral victory. According to him, the objective is not just to win, but to secure a landslide.

Also speaking, Mojeed Fatai, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, commended the party leadership for what he described as a transparent and strategic decision-making process. He noted that both direct primaries and consensus options were considered, with the eventual endorsement reflecting the collective will of party members.

In her remarks, Adetoun Balogun expressed gratitude to party leaders and constituents for their continued support. She assured residents of sustained community engagement and improved delivery of democratic benefits if her husband is re-elected.

Other party stakeholders echoed similar sentiments, describing Balogun as a dependable and experienced leader capable of delivering more dividends of democracy.

The endorsement further reinforces unity within the constituency and sets the stage for an active campaign season, as residents look ahead to continued development and inclusive governance.
