As Muslims around the world gathered to celebrate this year’s Eid-Kabir, the Nasrul-Lahi-il-Fathi Society (NASFAT) Swansea Group in Wales, United Kingdom, has emphasized the importance of unity, love, and communal gatherings in promoting good health and increasing life expectancy.
The Coordinator of NASFAT Swansea, Brother Abdulfatai Omotunde, made this known on Saturday during the group’s “Eid-Kabir Celebration Get-Together” held at Barry Island Beach in Cardiff, United Kingdom.
Speaking at the event, Brother Omotunde stated that gathering together in the spirit of love and unity among family, friends, and neighbors not only strengthens bonds but also contributes significantly to overall well-being and longevity.
He stressed the importance of prioritizing health, promoting unity and peace, and offering selfless service to humanity, which he described as essential values that give hope to individuals and society at large.
Omotunde also urged Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, to show love, kindness, and compassion—especially to the less privileged—during the Eid celebration and beyond.
Highlighting the deeper significance of Eid-el-Kabir, he called on Nigerian citizens in the UK to continue to strive for peace, prosperity, and national development.
Brother Omotunde further underscored the need for family bonding, love, and unity within the Muslim community.
He encouraged fellow Muslims to emulate the exemplary character of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who demonstrated profound faith and unwavering obedience to Allah’s will.
He concluded by wishing all pilgrims a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj.
He prayed that their supplications be accepted by Almighty Allah and extended Eid Mubarak greetings (Barakah De Sallah) to all Muslim brothers and sisters at home and abroad.
