As Nigerian workers across the country mark this year’s Workers’ Day, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has extended warm wishes and heartfelt appreciation to all workers for their tireless contributions to national development.
In a statement released on Thursday, May 1, 2025, Senator Tinubu acknowledged the crucial role Nigerian workers play in building the nation’s economy, noting that their commitment and resilience remain the driving force behind Nigeria’s progress.
“On this special Workers’ Day, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to all Nigerian workers for your commitment to nation-building. May your efforts continue to yield fruit, and may we, as a nation, always uphold the value of your labour,” she stated.
The First Lady emphasized the significance of the celebration, describing it as a moment to reflect on the dignity of labour and the need to foster a fair and inclusive working environment for all.
“I salute the men and women who rise each day to go to work and support our economy,” she added, while recognizing the efforts of workers across all sectors — public, private, formal, and informal.
