Lagos State Announces Resumption Date for 2024/2025 Second Term Academic Session

The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) has announced that all schools below the tertiary level in the state are mandated to resume for the Second Term of the 2024/2025 academic session on Monday, 6th January 2025.

This directive aligns with the Lagos State Year 2024/2025 Academic Calendar and applies to all public and private schools operating within the state.

In a statement issued on 3rd January 2025, Mr. Remi Abdul, Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics at OEQA, emphasized the importance of strict compliance with the resumption date. “All schools below tertiary level are expected to adhere to this schedule as stipulated in the academic calendar,” he stated.

The Office of Education Quality Assurance reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the academic calendar is implemented effectively to promote the smooth running of the education system in Lagos State.

School administrators, teachers, parents, and guardians are encouraged to make adequate preparations for the resumption, ensuring that students are ready to continue their academic pursuits without delay.

For further inquiries, schools are advised to contact the OEQA for clarification or additional guidance.
