Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed three key officials to his new administration.
The announcement was made in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Fred Itua, shortly after Okpebholo’s inauguration.
The appointments include Barr. Musa U. Ikhilor as Secretary to the State Government (SSG); Hon. Samson Osagie, PhD, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; and Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole as Commissioner for Health.
The statement noted that the nominations for Osagie and Oshiomhole will soon be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for confirmation.
Barr. Musa Ikhilor brings over 11 years of experience in legislative drafting and governance from his work at the National Assembly, while Hon. Osagie, a seasoned legal practitioner and current Vice President of the African Bar Association (West African Region), has served in the Edo State House of Assembly and House of Representatives.
Dr. Oshiomhole, the nominee for Commissioner for Health, has a strong background in medicine, with advanced studies in public health, environmental health, and clinical research from institutions including Harvard University and Queen Mary University, London.
