As part of final preparations for the November 16 Governorship Election, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, conducted an inspection of several INEC Local Government Area (LGA) offices across Ondo State.
The visit, which took place today, included stops at the Idanre LGA Office, Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo LGA, and Ondo East LGA, where Prof. Yakubu assessed office readiness and reviewed logistical arrangements for the #OndoDecides2024 election.
During the inspection, Prof. Yakubu underscored the significance of a transparent and credible electoral process, affirming INEC’s dedication to ensuring a thorough and fair election.
“Our commitment remains focused on transparency and integrity,” he stated, highlighting INEC’s efforts to prepare for a seamless voting experience.
The visit is part of INEC’s broader initiative to confirm that all necessary elements, from the distribution of voting materials to security measures, are set to guarantee a smooth, orderly, and credible election for the people of Ondo State.
