Harry Kane shone once again, scoring twice and assisting another goal as Bayern Munich eased past Union Berlin with a 3-0 victory, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga by three points.
Kane opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a penalty after Union’s Benedict Hollerbach fouled Michael Olise near the box. Just before halftime, the England captain set up Kingsley Coman, who blasted in Bayern’s second goal past Union keeper Frederik Ronnow.
Kane completed his brace in the 51st minute, beating teammate Jamal Musiala to a loose ball.
Later, RB Leipzig could close the gap by going level on points if they secure a win against Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Omar Marmoush had a stellar performance in Eintracht Frankfurt’s emphatic 7-2 win over Bochum, scoring one and assisting two.
Hugo Ekitike also scored twice, while Marmoush, Ansgar Knauff, Nathaniel Brown, Mahmoud Dahoud, and Can Uzun added to the tally, pushing Frankfurt up to third place, six points behind Bayern.
In other matches, St. Pauli clinched a 2-0 win over Hoffenheim with goals from Oladapo Afolayan and Andreas Albers, moving them up the table.
Holstein Kiel defeated Heidenheim 1-0, securing their first-ever Bundesliga win. Meanwhile, Wolfsburg drew 1-1 with Augsburg, rounding out the action.
