Constituency Forum has concluded plans to hold the annual constituency Award Dinner and Night on December 20, 2024.
The Constituency Forum is body comprising residents of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (ELCDA) and Isolo Local Council Development Area (ILCDA) in Lagos State.
A statement issued on Saturday by the Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr Lasisi Idris, said the event is to celebrate the achievements and exceptional contributions of individuals and organisations to the growth and development of the Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 2.
Idris explained that the event is expected to attract personalities from all works of life including Business, Community Development, Education, Corporate Organisations and Public Service.
He stated that the awards would further encourage the awardees and potential philanthropists to continue to contribute to the growth and development of the two LCDAs, acknowledging that grassroots development could not only be left alone to government.
Speaking further, he added that the awards and awardees are categorised into 17 sections, adding that selection of the winners would be based on not only public opinion but also evaluation of their contributions to the constituency and the residents.
Idris stated ” This is the second edition of the Annual Constituency Award Dinner and Night. This is more advance than the previous one in terms of organising, planning and component of the event. This time around, we are infusing exceptional awards for people who have uplifted our constituency in their own way. Also, a dinner night will be added to spice up the event.
” Also, brands will be giving promotional opportunities to showcase their products on our backdrops, banners and pamphlets for publicity.
” We use this medium to call on brands and business owners to be part of this historic event by advertising their products and services on our various advertising platforms created to meet their target audience. The event will have in attendance residents of the two LCDAs (Ejigbo and Isolo). People from other Constituencies will also attend because our invitations are extended to other 39 State Constituencies in Lagos. One can imagine the mileage brands will get from partaking in the event”.
The award categories are; Education, Lifetime Community Service, Public Service, Sports, Business, Innovation and Environmental Services.
Others include, Health Sector, Leadership, Art and Culture, Best Councillors in Ejigbo LCDA, Best Councillors in Isolo LCDA, Best Supervior in each Councils, Best Supervior in the constituency, Best Councillor in the constituency and Best Council Chairman in the constituency.
