Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and legal adviser to one of the groups involved in the #EndBadGovernance protest, has called on the protesters to sheath their swords and consider ending their actions.
Earlier, Adegboruwa had urged the protesters to limit their demonstrations to one or two days, arguing that they had already made their point clear.
In a recent statement, he acknowledged that while the organizers intended to hold peaceful and well-coordinated protests, the movement was compromised by fifth columnists and some aggrieved individuals who derailed their mission.
He expressed sympathy for those who lost loved ones or belongings during the protests but praised the demonstrators for their peaceful conduct and adherence to the law.
Adegboruwa also called on President Bola Tinubu to address the nation directly and engage with the protesters through their representatives.
