Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, expressed her profound sorrow and extended her heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.

In a press statement, she conveyed her deep sympathies to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Muftwang, the grieving families, and the people of Plateau State.

“It is indeed sad to hear the news of the school building collapse in Jos, which claimed the lives of our innocent children and their teachers,” the First Lady stated.

Her words reflect the collective sorrow felt by the nation at this devastating loss. “It is disheartening to lose these children with a promising future,” she added, recognizing the bright potential that was abruptly cut short.

“Words are not enough to console you, but I pray that God comforts you all and grants you the strength to bear the devastating loss,” she said, hoping to provide some solace amidst the overwhelming grief.

The First Lady also prayed for the repose of the departed souls. “May the souls of these our precious ones rest in perfect peace. Amen,” she concluded, echoing a sentiment that resonates deeply with all who have been touched by this tragic event.
