The Chief Press Secretaries to the Council Chairmen in Lagos state have attributed the development at the grassroots level in the state to the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group said the vision of the President in the creation of additional 37 LCDAs when servivg as Lagos state Governor in 2003 was responsible for the initiation of legacy projects across Local Governments and LCDAs in the state.
The State Chairman, Conference 57 Chief Press Secretaries, Ayeyemi Ayodele stated this in a statement ahead of the opening of the 3 day Annual Media Retreat of CPS of Conference 57 tagged Surulere 2023 holding at NAPTIN Centre, Surulere, Lagos.
He said that this year’s Annual Conference which is the sixth edition is dedicated to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unequal leadership and mentorship roles in the discovery and empowering of leaders at the grassroots level in the state.
According to him, the creation of additional LCDAs led to healthy rivalry among the leadership of various councils which in turns created room for competition among them.
He explained that the decision brought development and dividends of democracy nearer to the people as well as created new job opportunities.
Ayeyemi Ayodele however expressed hope that the additional councils will receive necessary legislative attention to be enlisted in the cconstitution during the tenure of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
