33-year-old Spanish striker, Joselu, had a good chance begging in the 20th minute but his attempt was saved by Valles.
Earlier, he had fired a shot straight into the hands of Valles before his attempt was ruled offside. He could’ve counted himself unlucky.

Madrid held to a 1-0 lead half-time.
Las Palmas got a chance in the 51st minute after a superbly well-played pass to Herrera was kept out by Kepa. Unfortunately, his attempt was ruled offside.
Three minutes after, Joselu doubled the lead for the home team.
Brazilian youngster, Rodrygo, burst through the Las Palmas defence from the left-hand side and teased a pass onto Joselu’s head.
The Spanish forward was able to convert his chance and this time around, it was successful.
With the win, Madrid stay on the second spot behind leaders Girona, and ahead defending champion FC Barcelona.
It was a worry for Madrid, however, as centre back, David Alaba, made way for Lucas Vazquez after developing a discomfort in his leg.
Alaba was led straight into the tunnel by the medical team.
Consequently, team captain Nacho, went to pair with Rudiger while Vazquez occupied the right back position.
The Spanish capital club felt relieved after bouncing back from a disappointing outing at the hands of arch derby rival, Atletico Madrid where they were beaten 3-1.
Carlo Ancelotti had blamed the team’s defence coordination on the defeat to their derby rivals, while noting that he takes responsibility.
